While visiting the Greenwich Market last winter, we discovered the cosiest little place: The Red Door Gallery. The Red Door is a café, shop and gallery, showcasing some of South East London's many artists and designers and specializing in ceramics, jewellery, art and handmade giftware that will satisfy both collectors and original gift-givers (lol! Does this word even exist?). The amazing thing with this unique shop is that it can work both ways. Option 1: You can go to enjoy a cup of rainforest alliance coffee (served in vintage china cups) along with an award winning cake (including vegan, wheat, gluten and dairy free options) and leave with a gorgeous pair of handmade earrings. Option 2: Go to buy gifts, jewellery, ceramics etc. and after the exhaustive shopping process enjoy a cup of tea and freshly made scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream (YUM!). In any case, the atmosphere is great, and is worth having a look at if you happen to be in the neighborhood..
