When searching for new winter accessories, it is always a delight to come across something stylish that can still keep you warm. Nicolette Lazarus, the designer behind the L For Lazarus brand, made a dream of many fashionable people come true when she designed the Échapeau.
Derived from the French words for scarf and hat (écharpe and chapeau), the Échapeau - a name that her partner invented - is an elegant combination of both. Their versatile design, which incorporates a unique snap fastening system means they can be worn either as one stylish piece, or as a classic hat & scarf set or as individual items. They’re created for women who love to use accessories to enhance their individuality.
The idea for the accessory was developed when Nicolette was trying to find an accessory that would keep her neck and ears warm without making her look silly. "Joining the two seemed such a simple need, but when I looked around no-one else was doing this in a way that was flexible, stylish and easily to slip into your handbag once you’ve arrived at your destination," she explains.
The collection has been developed to effortlessly co-ordinate with all your outerwear options and look great with everything from a denim jacket to formal coat, you can even wear them on ski slopes! The Échapeau comes in three different versions: "Lewa", "Lola", and "Livvy". Lewa is made with luxurious faux fur, and is ideal for looking great, and keeping warm.

Lola's silhouette reflects this strength, with a faint nod to the military and uses high wool content, soft touch fabrics.

The Livvy Échapeau comes in a range of fabrics, including a wool, cashmere blend and a linen water resistant version. The tweeds, herringbone and tartan are all 100% wool and reflect the trends for this Autumn/Winter.
