Dukas Spring /Summer 2012: Ready for Cannes?
published in: Accessories, 02 May 2012
Dukas never ceases to amaze his many fans, followers and dedicated clients. Keeping true to his Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection, he continues to draw inspiration from ballet for Spring/Summer 2012. Classic ballet shoes and their satin ribbons are clearly encapsulated in his designs. Some of the 14-mm sky-high heels are sculptured in the shape of ballet dancers in their pointes.
Panama, canvas, mother of pearl, and tulle are only some of the textures in Dukas' latest collection mirrored in metallic surfaces, organic leathers, chain patterns and ultra glossy finishing touches.
Fluo coral, caribbean emerald, aquamarine and shocking turquoise go hand in hand with optical whites, soft nudes and natural hues.
Over a long caftan, with denim cut-offs and a white shirt, pastel trousers and a light sweater of the same hue (monochrome is so hot right now) or a pencil skirt with a printed top, Dukas' Spring/Summer 2012 collection is perfect for all hours of day and all occasions (we dare say even bridal! Check out the two ultra-white ones - a wedge and heel).
Curves, volume, intense openings, vintage geometry and hand-made details are key-words that describe the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, one that is fully dedicated to the 1970s Croisette. Right on time for the Cannes Film Festival, n'est-ce pas?
Enjoy!
